Artist Statement
Thank you for taking the time to read about the artist.
My name is Bill Stephens. I believe that no artist can separate themselves from their work. An artist is essentially what they produce. Perhaps artists create what they do as a coping necessity in their processing of reality. If that is true, then the coping necessary should reflect the work produced. Who I am can be seen in my greatest effort of art,"Amazing Grace", for the forsaken infant in the hand is me.
I could never teach someone to do the work I do because they would first have to be a professional photographer, then a realistic painter, and then a digital expert to pull it all together. The art that is produced from within me ranges from the basic beauty I see from my outings, to the imaginings of the depth of the soul. I personally produce and sell my own Giclee prints. I produce original acrylic paintings generally at fifteen times the price of a Giclee. Museum quality Giclee on canvas often looks just as breathtaking as an original painting, so I offer personal Giclee
The honest truth is that humanity shares an evil heart which cares nothing for truth (Romans 3). Throughout history, man has tried to manipulate anything and after his/her will. Even the slightest "deviance" within a soul is an incomprehensible distance away from "Holiness", and Holiness is what is required of any heaven, lest that place be contaminated with human assumption. There must be an able Savior who is able to forgive all sin simply for the asking, or we have nothing but religion attempting to "qualify" for redemption over and over again. Were it not for YAH's "calling" the saints (2 Timothy 1:9) from among the sinners, there would not be one to bow before Him in any heaven. Unedited grace is all there is and all at the expense of the bloody offering of Yeshua on a tree some 2,000 years ago.
As a Yeshuaite, I believe in a "Trinity". There is the Everlasting Father, the Spirit and Yeshua (who is called the Father of Eternity). King James as well as most popular bible translations today have shown their religious arrogance by calling the "Son" the "Everlasting Father" in Isaiah 9:6. There is no excuse for such heresy when the Darby Translation as well as Young's Literal Translation translate and proclaim the "Son" correctly as the "Father of Eternity". Yeshua indeed is the Maker of heaven and earth (Colossians 1:16). He was there with Adam and gave Moses the tablets of the Law (John 8:58, 8:24). David called Him LORD and Isaiah knew Him as the Messiah to come who would be crucified hundreds of years later for the sins of generations of Jews and Gentiles.
Thanks be to His great love, even those who call Yeshua by some other name like "Jesus" can be saved. But apparently no one can come to Yeshua for salvation who has not been "chosen" by the Father (John 6:44,65). Does this mean that salvation is by "invitation only"? Could it be that there is no such thing as "free will" as Romans 9:16 declares? Could it be that we can only write and have lyrics written to the music we like to dance to? How do you teach someone to draw who has no ability to do so? How do you instruct someone in truth, who has no ability to recognize truth?
Thanks be to the grace that YAH has shown to a miserable fool such as I, for there is nothing good which dwells within my humanity. I must be saved even from the "good" I seek to uphold. What identity sustains me anymore is merely a result of what grace upholds me. I am hopelessly lost in eternity, but for the scarred hand of Yeshua which holds me and sustains my every heartbeat. I look forward to the day when I am found walking with Yeshua in His wondrous place. This is who I am.
